Write On! 2020 Adult Short Story Contest

Winners will be announced during a virtual awards ceremony on Saturday, Nov. 21 at 1 p.m. Prizes: First Place: $200, Second Place: $100, and Third Place: $50. For ages 19 & up. Virtual Choral Class for Adults

Take your song to the next level in this virtual classical and musical theater singing workshop for adults. Come prepared with a song to sing and receive guidance on technique and style from soprano and voice teacher Dr. Mariana Mihai-Zoeter. Demystifying COVID-19: The Science of SARS-CoV-2 Series

Part 1 | SARS-CoV2 Virology and Immunology: The first talk in this three-part lecture series will cover the biology and molecular virology of the virus to provide insight on how it infects and interacts with its host. This series is offered in partnership with Janelia Research Campus and will be presented by virologist Angela Rasmussen, an Associate Research Scientist at the Center for Infection at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health. She is also a member of the World Health Organization’s Ad Hoc Expert Group on Preclinical Models of COVID-19 Disease. She holds a PhD in microbiology from Columbia University, and previously worked as a researcher at the University of Washington.
