Event Details

Natural and man-made hazards can cause engineered structures to fail. These events provide a natural laboratory to understand how critical community functions become disrupted and expose hurdles in the recovery process. Judy Mitrani-Reiser, Director of Disaster and Failure Studies at the National Institute of Standards and Technology will discuss how disaster metrology can be used to strengthen community resilience. The program will be held at Old Ox Brewery, 44652 Guilford Dr., #114, Ashburn. For adults, ages 21+.
