Gettysburg is often remembered for its carnage, and Loudoun soldiers were central in the battle’s final attack. Dr. Joseph Rizzo, Executive Director of the Loudoun Museum, examines the Confederate Army’s 8th Virginia Infantry, a military unit largely composed of men from Loudoun County. The talk will cover the regiment’s history, with a focus on the experiences, actions and memories of soldiers who took part in Pickett’s Charge at Gettysburg.This program will be held at Old Ox Brewery, 44652 Guilford Dr #114, Ashburn, VA
